Our organization is dedicated to providing valuable insights and resources to advance the understanding of reproductive biology. MEET OUR BOARD

Meet the dedicated individuals who drive our mission forward.

Yuri Wagner - President

Yuri graduated from Benedictine University in 1998 with degrees in Health Science/Pre-Med and Spanish Literature. She began her career as a medical assistant and discovered her passion for embryology at Fertility Centers of Illinois (FCI), later serving as Laboratory Supervisor at Reproductive Medicine Institute and working at Rush University Medical Center. In 2023, she was invited by former CARA leaders to serve as President, where she continues to advance CARA’s mission and the reproductive health community.

Juan Sanz - Secretary

Juan is an embryologist with 15 years of experience in IVF. He is passionate about the work done in the lab, supporting patients through evidence-based technologies. Since joining the CARA board in 2024, he has enjoyed participating in quarterly meetings, connecting with new colleagues, and helping spread knowledge alongside members and sponsors.

Claudia Reyes - Treasurer

Claudia Reyes has been an embryologist for nearly five years. Her favorite work in the lab involves biopsy and freezing, but outside of work, she enjoys camping in the wilderness or fishing at a lake. Known for her love of dad jokes and appreciation of her colleagues’ music choices, Claudia is passionate about her career and dedicated to helping patients achieve their dreams.

Dr.Juergen Libermann - PhD, HCLD

Dr. Juergen Liebermann is the Director of the Embryology, Andrology, and Endocrinology Laboratories at the Fertility Centers of Illinois (FCI). With over twenty years of experience, he is a board-certified High-Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director and expert in embryo culture and vitrification. He co-edited Vitrification in Human Assisted Reproduction and has published and presented widely in the field.
